Yesterday I went to the cinema with my friends to watch the 3rd movie of the Huner Games Trilogy. I wasn’t a big fan till now, I haven’t even seen the first two movies, so it was not sure if we were going on Saturday but I finally managed to watch the previous ones so I could happily go and see the new one. I really like it, the story, the characters, the places and setting. I read many critics that the new, “The Mockingjay” part 1 is not as good as the first and second movies but I actually liked it more. The worst part (in Catching Fire) was when they killed Cinna, the great stylist of District 12. When he designed the wedding gown turning into a mockingjay costume I decided to concentrate on chemistry classes and learn how to make fake fire and cool stuff like that. But maybe it’s easier to be a professional Photoshopper.  I’d love to create outfits and be the costume designer of the next part, but sadly that will never happen. Anyway I drew outfits for Katniss with wings and it turned out as a Mockingjay on the Victoria’s Secret runway.

Do you remember my post of  ‘Gombold ujra’? Lilla Bartfai’s collection was one of my favorites and since then I started to like it even more. I got an email, whether I was interested in writing a longer post about this collection and -of course- I said yes. And when I found out the collection was made by 3D designing a printing I got even more excited. With this technique every piece in this ‘digital couture’ collection can be adjusted to the bride’s dress and style. Garlic is the main motive of the collection which used to keep away bad and malicious intents in folk beliefs. Here it is used to express thoughts related to marriage – like connectedness, rebirth and continuity. I love the ‘before’ pics and sketches of the collection sometimes even more than the finished pieces, because it is always interesting to see the process and the stages of creation.

I found a very interesting video about how fashion meets technology. More technology, less fashion actually. The idea is genius, but I’d work more on the design part. I like this jacket, because it’s not trying to be useful at all, but simply creative and unique. In the video a man is walking on the streets wearing a kind of a windbreaker and gloves. He touches cars, people, walls and the sleeves of the jacket turns to the color he touched. I can imagine this in a long skirt and the sensors are in the high heels so as you walk it changes to the color of the ground. If I’d be a high fashion house I’d definitely buy this idea. DAIGE is a Hungarian statup company who designs mini collections inspired by sport, cinema, nature and art. I really like all their collections especially the new bags. They are really funky, perfect for a festival. They exude happiness. My favorites are the colorful backpacks and shopper bags. I really like the contrast of the splashed paint prints and the pixels.

Head chains (just like flower crowns) are really popular this summer, for example on festivals and it’s really easy to make one. I think they bring a princess effect, but I’ve seen studded ones too, and those aren’t princessy. I really want to make one and when I will, I’ll show it!

Nekem a nyaram remekül telik, remélem nektek is! Összegyűjtöttem az idei kedvenc számaimat, mindegyikhez van valami élményem ebből a nyárból… Olyan eseménydús az egész szünet, hogy nem is vagyok nagyon otthon, és utazáskor jó hallgatni egy kis zenét. I really enjoyed this month just as the previous ones. It’s great that it’s summer and there’s no more school. I tried to capture nice moments and I posted those on my Instagram profile and now on my blog. You’ll find the subtitles and interesting thoughts under the pictures if you click on them.

My currently favorite color is burgundy. It’s not a tipical summer color, rather fall, but if you combine it with colorful statement nacklaces it’ll look pretty cool in summertime too. This color can be elegant and it’s a perfect color for baseball jackets too. I selected my favorite pieces in this color from the Choies webshop. The skater dress is absolutely awesome and pretty just as the sweater where I love the material combination. The heart shaped sunnies are sooo girly and adorable, I love them! Skorts (shorts+skirt) are still in style and I still don’t have one. Lately I really started to love the quote printed shirts. It’s important that you could identify with your quote – and this case I perfectly can.

I think that I overwrite the topics a bit. This is because I like writing and I couldn’t decide who is my favourite model. I’ll show you my top 2 international models and my top 2 Hungarian ones. I tried to chose natural pictures beside the photoshopped ones. At the end you’ll find an interesting and funny video, about ‘normal’ people standing in typical twisted model poses on the streets.

1. Chanel Iman

Nekem nagyon tetszenek a fekete bőrű modellek, mint például Chanel, aki amerikai. 13 éves korában kezdett modellkedni, és nagyon hamar befutott.  Lépkedett már Balenciaga, Versace és Stella McCartney kifutóin is és a Teen Vogue címlapján is szerepelt. És persze mára már az egyike a Victoria’s Secret angyalainak.

I really like dark skinned girls, they are sooo pretty, just as Chanel, who started her career when she was only 13. Nowdays she is walking on Balenciaga, Versace and Stella McCartney catwalks. she was already on the cover of Teen Vogue. And of course she is a Victoria’s Secret angel.

2. Cara Delevingne

Sokan furcsának találják a sötét szemöldökét szőke hajához, de szerintem pont ez a különleges benne és ezért lehet megjegyezni. 2011-ben a Burberry tavaszi-nyári kollekciójának volt kampányarca, 2012-ben a DKNY-nak, 2013-ban pedig a Chanel Resort kollekciónak. Én még azt szeretem benne, hogy nagyon vicces arcokat vág, nemcsak olyan tipikus merev arccal néz.

She is a very successful model. Many people don’t like her because they find her brown eyebrows wierd with her blonde hair, but I think that’s why she is interesting and memorable. In 2011 she was the Burberry spring/summer collection’s face, in 2012 she was the DKNY’s and in 2013 she was the Chanel Resort’s. I really like her because she can look very funny and wierd and she doesn’t care about what others think about her. 

3. Srej Zsófi

Többen inkább Sophie Srej vagy a nem meglepő becenevén “hosszúlábú Sophie”  néven ismerik a magyar lányt. Tehetségét egy buszon fedezték fel, majd érettségi után rögtön a legnevesebb divatházak kifutóján találtuk és azóta sincs megállás. Az idei ELLE Fashion Show-n volt szerencsém vele is találkozni és beszélgetni, és belsőre is nagyon szimpatikusnak és kedvesnek tartom.

You may know her as Sophie Srej or as they call on her nickname ‘Sophie with long legs’. I think this is a good nickname if you are a model. She was discovered on a bus and since then there is no stop. She landed immediately on the biggest high fashion houses’ runways. I met her on the ELLE Fashion Show and she was very kind and nice and friendly.

4. Palvin Barbara

A magyarok egyik fő büszkesége a fiatal Victoria’s Secret modell, Palvin Barbi. Nagyon fiatalon, 13 évesen kezdett modellkedni és sikere máig töretlen, sőt egyre inkább ível felfelé. Nagyon szép arca van, az egész lány olyan tipikus szépség. Én a haját irigylem a legjobban, olyan dús, hosszú és szép.

She is one of the most searched Hungarian models. She started her modeling when she was only 13, and she is getting more famous. I think she has a beautiful face, a typical beauty. I would love to have her hair, so long and shiny.
