Emlékeztek még a Gombold Újrá-ról írt posztomra? Bárfai Lilla kollekcióját már ott is a kedvenceim közé soroltam, azóta pedig még jobban megszerettem. Kaptam egy emailt nemrég, hogy nem lenne-e kedvem bővebben írni a kollekcióról, ha már amúgy is tetszik. Én persze igennel válaszoltam, sőt amikor kiderült számomra hogy ezek a fejdíszek 3D tervezéssel és nyomtatással készültek még jobban úgy gondoltam muszáj lesz írnom róla. A ‘digital couture’-nek nevezett kollekció minden darabja rendkívül egyedi és menyasszonytól függően változtatható. A kollekció a házassághoz tartozó fogalmakat, mint összefonódást, újjászületést és folyamatosságot ad át, amit a népi ‘minden ártó szándékot távol tartó’ fokhagyma motívumával jelenít meg. Mindig is imádtam a terveket nézegetni, nagyon érdekesnek találom a megvalósításhoz vezető út fázisainak képeit, sokszor még érdekesebbnek mint a kész darabot.

Do you remember my post of ‘Gombold ujra’? Lilla Bartfai’s collection was one of my favorites and since then I started to like it even more. I got an email, whether I was interested in writing a longer post about this collection and -of course- I said yes. And when I found out the collection was made by 3D designing a printing I got even more excited. With this technique every piece in this ‘digital couture’ collection can be adjusted to the bride’s dress and style. Garlic is the main motive of the collection which used to keep away bad and malicious intents in folk beliefs. Here it is used to express thoughts related to marriage – like connectedness, rebirth and continuity. I love the ‘before’ pics and sketches of the collection sometimes even more than the finished pieces, because it is always interesting to see the process and the stages of creation.
