I found a very interesting video about how fashion meets technology. More technology, less fashion actually. The idea is genius, but I’d work more on the design part. I like this jacket, because it’s not trying to be useful at all, but simply creative and unique. In the video a man is walking on the streets wearing a kind of a windbreaker and gloves. He touches cars, people, walls and the sleeves of the jacket turns to the color he touched. I can imagine this in a long skirt and the sensors are in the high heels so as you walk it changes to the color of the ground. If I’d be a high fashion house I’d definitely buy this idea. I’m totally in love with this Valentino haute couture collection for spring-summer. I think this would more fit to a winter collection, because of the dark colors. I mostly wear bright, colorful colors in summer, so that’s why this isn’t a summer collection in my eyes. My favorite item is the sheet music printed dress. Katy Perry wore this on the Grammy Awards, only a weak after that it hit the runway in Paris.

For the Japanese Vogue they did a very beautiful photoshoot with Lindsey Wixson. In the flussy, ornate but fabulous dresses Lindsey looks like a porcelain doll on the snowy lands. My new favourite photo series.

My newest favourite is the collection from The Rodnik Band. These dresses and shirts are really cute and not lousy at all. The Peanuts are fantastic as always and the background only makes them funnier. The Rodnik Band has got very unusual clothes such as the washing machine or the tomato ketchup dress.

nem mindennapi és biztos utánam néznének az utcán, de beválallnám! Sajnos már nem lehet kapni, de 55 ezer forintért amúgy sem gondolom, hogy megkaptam volna ! Nyáron úgyis Görögországba készülünk, talán ott találunk valami hasonlót…

Did I say last time that I preferred the basic sandals?!? Well, this is not true anymore. OK, say if I’d buy these sandals (actually I won’t because it’s about 180 euro and sold out ) everybody on the streets would look after me. But I would wear them! In the summer we planned to visit Greece, so I hope I’ll find a similar one…

Madame Grès 1934-ben nyitotta meg első szalonját, ám azt pár évvel később be is kellett zárnia. 1941-ben viszont festő férje művésznevén nyitotta meg új üzletét. Így született a Grès. Nagy részben görög stílusú selyemjersey  ruhákat tervezett, ezekkel vált híressé. Szerintem haute couture ruhái ma is bárhol megállnák a helyüket. Elképesztően szép darabokat alkotott. Én is megpróbáltam hasonlóan redőzött ruhát rajzolni, dehát hogy is mondjam….. nem jártam túl sok sikerrel.

Madame Grès opened her first boutique in 1934, but a few years later she had to close that. In 1941 she opened her second showroom on her painter husband’s artist name. This was the Grès. Usually she designed Greek inspired silk jersey dresses, she went famous with these. I think her haute couture dresses can still fit in today’s fashion. She designed sooo beautiful dresses. I tried to draw a similar plaited dress… but so far haven’t succeeded much.

Kaptam egy új könyvet, amiben nagyon sok designer kreáció, anyag, minta stb. van, és ebben a könyvben találtam rá Orla Kiely pár ruha kollekciójára. Ám az ír tervező nem csak ruhákat tervez, mintái megtalálhatóak esernyőkön, telefontokokon, táskákon és sok mindenen. Legfelkapottabb mintája ez a talán levelekhez hasonlító motívum, ami ahogy említettem mindenen megtalálható.

I’ve got a new book with many designers’ creations, patterns and materials in it. I found a few outfits from Orla Kiely and I loved them, so she is my new favourite now. The Irish designer creates not only dresses, but her patterns can be found on umbrellas, phone cases, bags and other stuff. Her most popular pattern design is this leaves-like one:
