Last weekend was very eventful. On Saturday morning I had a rhythmic gymnastics competition (the most important of the year) and then with my best friend, Lena we hurried to the Central European Fashion Days to catch three Hungarian designers, Napsugar Von Bittera’s, Áeron’s and NUBU’s shows. Between two shows we spent our time in the backstage chatting with models and the event organizers or waiting for our ordered pizza at the entrance. About this whole event I’m planning to write two more posts, one with the backstage pics (those are the best) and one about the Gombold Újra! competition’s final.

1. NAPSUGAR VON BITTERA

Nekem valahogy olyan érzésem volt, hogy miután ő már mutatott be kollekciót Londonban és a többi nagy divatvárosban, mintha ezt a közép-európai bemutatót kicsit félvállról vette volna. Az ő lookbook képeit, kollekcióleírásait nem lehetett megtalálni a sajtónak szánt vászontáskában, pedig minden más magyar tervezőé ott volt. Ráadásul én a kollekciótól sem voltam úgy elájulva, mint az eddigiektől, mivel az eddig képviselt, elegáns, kifinomult városi nő képét, a ‘Fuck Yeah’ feliratú darabok szerintem közönségessé tették. A kiegészítői érdekesek voltak, tetszettek, úgy mint a laza, lukacsos luxusbőr darabok is. Én még elég sokat látok a lézervágott bőrben és a vele készített interjúból az jött le hogy a tervező is, úgyhogy szerintem kár volt behozni ezt a sportosabb, lazábbnak szánt elemet. Az angol erre azt mondaná, hogy túlságosan ‘trying too hard’.

 I had a feeling that after showing her collections in London and in other big fashion cities, this central european fashion show wasn’t so important for her and she took it a bit lightly and careless. I couldn’t find her lookbook photos and collection descriptions in the canvas bag for press like all other designers’. Also I was not as impressed by this new collection as I was by the former ones. I think that with writing ‘Fuck Yeah’ on her clothes she pulls down her label to an ordinary level, and I really don’t know why because her luxury leather jackets and dresses simbolize the stylish, sophisticated but cool urban woman. I think there’s much more innovation in this laser cut leather line, and from the interview I made with her, she looked like she sees and wants to continue this line too, so I can’t understand why she made this collection this sporty, loose-looking and extra ordinary. It’s just too much, trying too hard.

2. ÁERON

Áron Eszter a jövő nyarat abszolút földszínekben képzeli el, érdekes printekkel tarkítva. Az egyik elsők között felvonuló ruhán volt egy nagyon érdekes részlet, ami feltűnt, mégpedig az elől-hátul rengeteg értelmetlen díszzseb. Szerintem nagyon érdekes volt a csípő körül végighúzódó zsebsor, kicsit sajnáltam hogy ez nem köszönt vissza több darabon is. Viszont a ruhák lengesége, -az egyik fő fazon, egyébkén a laza nadrág volt- színvilága elrepített minket a Skandináv tájakhoz, a ruhákon keresztül látni lehetett a víz tisztaságát, a dzsungel zöldből pedig én a mocsárra asszociáltam míg a többi pasztell színből inkább a homokra, sziklákra. Minden nagyon laza volt, nem túltervezett, szolid smink, szélfútta haj, nekem ez tetszett benne a legjobban.

Eszter Áron absolutey imagines  next summer in earth-colors interspersed with  interesting prints. On one of the first models there was a dress which had many useless decoration pockets around the waist-part. I really liked this element of the collection so I was a bit disappointed when I didn’t see it on other pieces. But the other dresses, loose pants and shorts were supercool too, so they made up for it. They totally flew us to the Skandinavian mountains and seasides. We could see the water waveing on the dresses, from the jungle color, the forests and marshes, and from the pastel colors I associated to the sand and the rocks. Everything was loose, not too much, solid make-up, windblown hair. You could feel the wind sweeping on the catwalk by the dresses.

3. NUBU

A NUBU kollekciója volt a kedvencünk az összes közül, nagyon érdekesek voltak a nyírfa részletek a cipőkön, táskákon és a ruhákon is. Érdekes volt a természetes anyagok, mint a fa, len, bőr, selyem keveredése a vízlepergető anyagokkal. Tetszettek a semmibe tartó lazán megkötött kendők, amik a földet söpörték ezzel kicsit hippi stílust vive a modern városi nő szettjébe, ruhatárába. Különlegesek voltak az engem barlangrajzokra emlékeztető grafikák (bár lehet hogy csak túl sok törit tanultam mostanában)  és az elfolyt festékre emlékeztető printek. Laza, sportos, mégsem közönséges nyári lenge darabok voltak, amiket bármikor bárhová fel lehet venni ha az ízléses, egyedi nőt akarjuk megtestesíteni.

Nubu’s collection was our favorite from all, we especially liked the walnut wood details on the clothes, shoes and accessories. It was an interesting match how they combined the natural materials, like silk, wood, linen, leather with the waterproof fabric. I liked the loose cloths falling from your waist and sweaping up the ground. This made the urban woman’s outfit a bit hippi styled . The graphics reminded me of cave drawings, but maybe just because I wrote a test yesterday about the prehistory and the cavemen. All were loose, sporty but not ordinary summer pieces which you can wear for any event. They’ll see the stylish, unique woman in you.

School started last week and I’m surprised because our new courses are pretty good… I have a lot of gymnastics trainings these weeks because of the many competitions that are coming and we’re going on a class trip too. So I’m very busy these weeks so until we can take outfit photos I’ll show you my September fashion inspiration board.

It’s eggs season, but be careful, don’t put eggs on your dresses! I can’t imagine how the idea came to design these dresses, but I think it came around Easter. If we skip the first shock of the eggs and imagine these clothes without them, they are nice. I hope nobody makes the mistake to wear these dresses.

… When I read the title I knew that I would post about The Great Gatsby. That’s a beautiful film, where fashion meets DiCaprio. The dresses were designed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. I think they made a great job bringing back the 20s’ style. My favourite trends from that period are the amazing hair accessories and fringles. I think we should bring back these headpieces. I love fringles too on bags, dresses, shirts, anywhere. I wonder why I don’t have anything fringled…

We took these pictures on the weekend in the last sunshine in the afternoon. The colors of the pictures are beautiful because of the sunset. I was wearing a basic outfit, a striped shirt, a grey cardigan, light jeans, sunglasses and creepers. This series of photos reminded me of a previous one, when the location was the same. There are very similar photos, like the tipical Michael Jackson pose. I can practise this movement a lot in these shoes.

I’ve got this big shoe book full of images. I found very intersting silhouettes in it, but I thought I would change the color or would add something to many of them. So I redesigned and drew a few of them. I tried to chose a piece from every category, so there are very iconic pieces, like Chanel oxfords, or fetish shoes and golden lotus ones too, which are only 7,62 cm long! OMG.

I bought a very thin paintbrush set a few days ago. Usually if I get something I try it immediately. So I took out paint and started painting in my Fashionary. I was checking the statistics of the Golden Globe post, so I found myself drawing Taylor Swift. And then Amy Adams. But then I thought it would be more interesting if I’d draw different dresses, not the ones I showed in the previous post. But I think Taylor turned out pretty realistic, so I didn’t cut it out.

On Sunday the 71st Golden Globe has taken place in Beverly Hills. Last year I wrote about this event too (you can check it out HERE), so I thought I should write about it this year too. I collected my top 3 favorites -  scroll down you’ll see a little subjective summary of the fashion on the red carpet. These dresses won the best and the worst prizes from me.

Kedvenceim/My Favourites:

Ez a Dior ruha, amit Emma Watson viselt az idei Golden Globe-on abszolút kedvencem. Nagyon trükkös és csinos. Elsőre talán semmi extra, de nem véletlen, hogy róla lehet a legtöbb háttal-visszanézős képet találni. Merész, hogy az egész hátrész ki van vágva, ráadásul a szoknya is, viszont nem sok nő visel nadrágot a vörös szőnyegen, de itt egy bizonyíték, hogy a nadrág is rendkívül sikkes és elegáns. Szerintem sokan fogják követni Emma példáját.

Emma Watson wore a a beautiful Dior dress. She likes interesting pieces and she looked super gorgeous. This cut-out back dress looked amazing on her with the black pants underneath. I read those were leggings but that’s defenetly not true. It is not usual to wear pants on the red carpet, but I think after this Dior choice other celebrities will follow Emma, beacause pants can be elegant too. Absolutely favorite.

Taylor Swift egy Carolina Herrera ruhát választott a díjátadóra. Szerintem azért olyan különleges ez a darab, mivel a szoknya ugye a derekától indul, de a színcsere nem ott kezdődik. Ettől függetlenül teljes összhangban vannak a színek és csodásan mutat ez a Herrera ruha a színész-énekesnőn. Nekem ez is nagy kedvencem.

Taylor Swift selected this Carolina Herrera dress. The dress is sooo interesting, because the color change is not where the skirt starts. The bright colors are amazing and looked very pretty on Taylor.

Amy Adams egy gyönyörű Valentino ruhában tündökölt tegnap. Valamilyen szinten szerintem ez a darab hasonlít Tayloréhoz, mivel ez is két erőteljes színből áll. Amyé viszont abból a szempontból kevésbé érdekes, hogy a szoknya kezdeténél változik a szín. Szerintem ez egy abszolút biztos választás, ilyennel nem lehet mellényúlni.

Amy Adams was wearing a Valentino dress on Sunday. I think this similar to Taylor’s, but still totally different. Maybe it’s not az interesting as the Herrera dress, because the color change is where the skirt starts. Anyway, it’s beautiful and an infallible choice.

Szerintem a legrosszabbak/The worst looks:

Lena Dunham a minap egy rikító Zac Posen költeményben szerepelt. Valamiért erről egy neon szövegkiemelő filc jut eszembe. Szerintem választhatott volna sokkal-de-sokkal előnyösebb ruhát is.

Lena Dunham  wore a Zac Posen dress. I think it looks like a highlighter marker. I’m sure she could have chosen a much better dress.

Zoe Saldana egy szerintem abszolút túlzsúfolt Prabal Gurung ruhát választott a vörös szőnyegre. Zoe-t már az Oscar gáláról írt bejegyzésemben is a legrosszabbak közé soroltam. Itt szerintem a tervező is kicsit túl sok mindent gondolt a ruhára, túl sok “érdekesség”-et és ennek az lett az eredmény, hogy egy érdekesség sem tűnik ki igazán, csak az, hogy 3 számmal nagyobb rá a Louboutin magassarkúja.

Zoe Saldana picked a very-very overcrowded Prabal Gurung dress. I selected her dress that she wore in the Oscars in the worst category too. This is maybe not her fault, but the designer’s who made a overcrowded dress. I think they wanted to make an interesting one, with sooo many intersting things, but at the end it became soo overcrowded, that you can’t even see one interesting thing, except the huge Louboutin high heels.

Paula Patton egy fodros Stephane Polland ruhát választott a 71. Golden Globe-ra. Erről a ruháról rengeteg negatív és pozitív kritikát is olvastam, szóval rendesen megoszlatta a közvéleményt. Nekem viszont nem tetszett Paulán.

Paula Patton wore a Stephane Polland dress with huge ruffles. I read positive and negative critics too, but I think it’s more ugly than beautiful.

A Hong Kong artist, May Sum’s idea was to sculpture lipsticks into iconic women like Audrey Hepburn, Coco Chanel ro Lady Gaga. He makes them out of a £20 lippy and sells them for £420. Which I think is a bit too much given that after the first use you can’t even see who is on it. Or if I never use it then why would I spend £420 for one lippy? Maybe I could use it simply as a piece of decoration but I’m afraid it would melt down. It’s a really creative idea and realistic especially when you see the normal photo portrait of the iconic woman beside it.

Nagyon szép kis fekete-fehér filmeket találtam Coco Chanel életéről. Továbbá nemrég megkaptam a Henry Gidel által írt könyvet a legnagyobb divatkirálynőről. Sajnos még nem volt időm belekezdeni, meg éppen mást is olvasok de ha kiolvastam mindenképp írtok belőle valami értékelést. A filmek letisztultsága a sikere, a kudarca és az egész élete nagyon elbűvölő. Engem abszolút magával ragadott.

I found beautiful and glamourus little videos about Coco Chanel’s carreer, failure and her life. About how she created her brand, about the N°5 and everything that happened with her from the orphanage to her death. I am totally captivated. But! This was still not enough for me so I’ve got the book of Chanel written by Henry Gidel. I couldn’t start to read it yet but if I’ll finish it I’m sure I’ll write a short review of it.
